Eco Fashion: 2013 Red Carpet Green Dress

Are you an eco designer dreaming to get your eco fashion designs onto the red carpet?

Then here is your chance to enter the Red Carpet Green Dress contest. Now in it’s fourth year, the Red Carpet Green Dress contest sets the challenge for creatives and designers worldwide to create a Red Carpet worthy dress made from organic, sustainable or recycled fabrics which show a respect for the environment and its resources – thus fulfilling the Green Dress criteria.

Red Carpet Green Dress is an international dress design contest started by Suzy Amis Cameron, environmental advocate and wife of Director James Cameron. The contest sets designers across the world with the challenge of creating an Oscar® worthy dress made entirely of sustainable materials. This year Red Carpet Green Dress is working with the Cradle to Cradle Products Innovation Institute™ to provide entrants with a selection of certified sustainable fabrics to choose from.

The winner, chosen among hundreds of international participants, will get his or her “green” design worn on the red carpet at the 85th Academy Awards® celebration on Sunday, February 24, 2013 by a surprise Hollywood actress. Most recently Missi Pyle of ‘The Artist’ graced the red carpet in the contest’s stunning winning design.

You have until Monday 5th November 2012 to send your entry. Details can be found at
